Please join me in a show of support for children in foster care in Lane
County by participating in the "Champions for Children" Walk/Run on
Saturday, May 3.  We are hoping to have every child in foster care in Lane
County represented at the race, with each walker or runner wearing a race
bib with the name and age of a child in foster care.  Matt Templeman, from
KMTR, will be our "celebrity host" of the event, and Brandi Smith from KEZI
will also be there with a film crew.  The news coverage is a great way for
us as a community to show we care about all of our kids and further support
CASA. 

 

You don't need to be an athlete to come out for the event.  You can
participate in the two mile walk, 8K walk, or 8K run.  They all start at
Marist High School at 8:30am.  I hope to see you on May 3.
