Hi all, <<Enough! Project Executive Summary 08.doc>>
I just wanted to invite you to the next Domestic Violence Council
meeting on Wednesday, April 2 from 4:30-5:30pm at the First United
Methodist Church, 1376 Olive Street.
Our presentation at the meeting will be from: J. Mark Eddy, Ph.D,
Research Scientist, at Oregon Social Learning Center and Jean Daugherty,
MSW, Director of Women's Services at Sponsors Inc.
They will discuss Project Enough is Enough!; which was a multi-modal
intervention designed for women with the co-occurring problems of DV,
substance addiction, antisocial behavior, and trauma. It built on the
prior independent and collaborative work of five non-profit service
agencies in Eugene, Oregon: Womenspace, Sponsors, Looking Glass
Counseling; Willamette Family Treatment; and Oregon Social Learning
Center. Components of the intervention included support groups,
one-on-one mentoring, and treatment services for substance addiction and
trauma. They will share their research findings on the project's
effectiveness addressing the complex & surprising challenges of domestic
violence victimization, addiction, and trauma faced by women in the
criminal justice system.
If you are interested in reading more about the project, I have attached
a summary for you review.
This meeting is open to the public, so feel free to invite people you
feel may be interested in the topic!
